בילדותה בשכונה בה גדלה בבאר שבע, נחשפה דיקלה לעולמות אקלקטיים של מוזיקה: מאום כולת'ום ועד פרינס, ממוצרט בואכה שלמה ארצי (איתו עוד תסגור מעגל שנים אחר כך). הבליל הקסום ונעדר המחיצות הזה היה ונותר הדבר שהלהיב ודרבן אותה ליצור ולהשמיע את המוזיקה המקורית שלה.

בשנת 2000 ראה אור אלבום הבכורה של דיקלה "אהבה מוסיקה" אבל רק בחלוף ארבע עשרה שנים הגיעה ההצלחה וההכרה של הציבור הרחב עם צאתו של "ואם פרידה" שחשף אותה כאחד הקולות העוצמתיים והמרגשים שיש לנו במוזיקה המקומית.

נדמה שמאז, מקומה כאחת היוצרות-מבצעות הבכירות בישראל רק הלך והתבסס. בנוסף לאלבומיה האישיים דיקלה כתבה שירים לשרית חדד, לדודו אהרון, למאיה בוסקילה ולרבים נוספים.

בימים אלה, לצד קריירה פורחת ומפתיעה כשחקנית בקולנוע, בטלוויזיה ובתיאטרון (שם תגלם את דמותה של אום כולת'ום בתפקיד ראשי), דיקלה מבלה באולפנים בהקלטה בלתי פוסקת של חומרים חדשים וכמובן על הבמות בכל רחבי הארץ.

בהופעה בפסטיבל תבצע דיקלה עם להקתה שירים ששמעה בבית ילדותה וכמובן את להיטיה הגדולים מחמשת אלבומיה.
